I wanted to take a second to thank the KCADJA and
specifically Joe Martin for acting as a
chauffer and helping us to bring Bobby
Sorden to Wichita yesterday. It was good to
see you again Joe, thanks for coming!
Second, I want to tell the members of
this chat that if you were wondering if this
will be worth your time, the answer is yes.
This is NOT only a tease or infomercial for
the product. Bobby's "Try BEATS" seminar is
a well prepared presentation that will
remind you of pitfalls to avoid and how you
can do little things that will impact your
business' image in a big way. It doesn't
take much effort on your part to be
remembered in a positive way by the guests,
venues and other venders alike. You will
take away a lot of useful information from
this presentation as well as a few really
good laughs. Do you like ping pong? I
don't care who you are, that's funny!
Great information for single-ops,
multi-ops, part timers, full timers,
veterans or those folks new to the
industry. Some of this stuff may seem like
common sense but during the presentation ask
yourself; When was the last time you went
the extra mile?
I hope you folks have a great turnout
and I know you'll get some good info from
Bobby. He's helping our industry grow.
Wanna help?

Just got back to Hutch from our Central
Kansas ADJA chapter meeting in Wichita. Joe
Martin we appreciate you visiting us, you get a
back to back dose of Bobby Sorden. Bobby was at
our chapter meeting Monday night (as it is early
Tues am now) and was very well presented. This
is a presentation that is very informative and
can really help increase word of mouth
advertising for your business, and all so easy.
He has great many ideas and hasl researched his
information/I will just leave it like that.
Anyone who does attend I'm sure will enjoy this
cool perspective that Bobby shares with us.
Hopefully every one will make it there.

First thing, I’ll say thank you again to all
involved, especially Joe Martin and Dave at
Encore DJ (Dave setup the location) for a
wonderful evening.
If you chose to not be there, you missed out on
a great opportunity to meet one more wonderful
person in this business….Bobby Sorden.
Yes, Bobby had a presentation and hoped to sell
a few of his self produced dvd’s, (I know we’ve
all been exposed to that concept) however he has
done an excellent job of reminding everyone in
this business, that the down to earth common
sense approach is still in style when it comes
to developing lasting and beneficial
relationships with the venues that host events
for our clients. The DVD contains interviews
done with persons in management positions at
several banquet facilities.
Great effort Bobby! I watched the DVD from
beginning to end.

I want to echo what Jim said!!!! I have
watched the video twice now and both times I
have had my toes stepped on for the good. I
never even thought about where to dress when
doing an event. Or sometimes how I should
dress or where to store stuff when doing an
event.
Joe and Danny thanks for the work you did
for this great presentation....I think there
will be a more considerate bunch of DJ"s
because of Bobby's ( dare I say ) Crusade.
For those who missed the event I understand
and it was a different date than normal,
but Information really valuable for "raising
the bar " for this industry...I feel I have
earned the right to be "one up " on the DJ's
here in Topeka.
I am excited to see where this will lead
this industry.

Then Try B.E.A.T.S
Try Being Everything And Then Some
This month we had the pleasure and honor of
welcoming Bobby Sorden from Sensational Sounds
in Colorado Springs to our local chapter ADJA
meeting. He wanted to show us first hand what we
could do to create Word-Of-Mouth-Advertising.
His approach to this was having the Banquet Room
Captains, Hotel Staff and Catering / Conference
Managers point out all the wrong and right
things we do as Disc Jockey's. What we got from
their point of view was very honest and gave us
some key insight on how to make a lasting
impression that will get us more referrals from
these facilities.
The Michigan Chapter of The ADJA would like to
extend a large thank you to Bobby for sharing
with us this concept.

Here, here - We did
indeed have Bobby Sorden as a guest speaker last
night here in Michigan and his TryBEATS
presentation was outstanding as Matt has stated!
Simply put, this is a completely different angle
for us DJ's to look at ourselves. I really pride
myself in getting as many training materials as
I can get my hands on just to see if I can learn
anything from them. TryBEATS is completely
different. I am now incorporating this into my
training program for my company so all of my
DJ's will understand how their actions can
either enhance our hinder our reputation at the
venues we work at. Sensational stuff and Bobby
himself provides an outstanding presentation.
Everything about Bobby and his presentation is
absolutely top notch!
If any of you get a chance to see this, please
do yourself a favor and do not pass up the
opportunity. It is guaranteed to make you think!

| I'll second. I
thought Bobby did a great job and I am looking
forward to watching his DVD which I bought last
night. It's really great to be able to bring in
quality speakers like this to a local meeting.

Bobby had a great
presentation and was well prepared. You can hear
the interview I did with him on
www.mobilebeatradio.com. He brought a new
insight as mentioned that many of us over
look.......like where do you change into a your
performance outfit ????
Great job Bobby and continued success!

The video is FANTASTIC. Good job man. I know how work
intensive that must have been and you should be really
proud of what you accomplished! I have already given it
to my DJ and he watched it as well. What a terrific
educational tool for him as he begins his journey into
providing excellent customer service for brides and
grooms!
Even though I feel that I know how to best perform
professionally, it was cool to be able to see exactly
what the venue staff look for in the "what goes above
and beyond" department.
A lot of the video, for me, was common sense but still
VERY valuable information to be used as a refresher as
well as a "training tool" for my DJs. AJ Carlisle

| After watching the Try BEATS video, I can
honestly say that it would be a very useful tool
in training new DJs, as well as improving
current ones. It talks a lot about
communicating with the venue and making sure
that everything runs smoothly, as well as how to
maintain a presentable appearance and a level of
professionalism. I think that it has made me
more aware of my actions and surroundings at
each event. Steve Gross
